Here's a few methods as to how you can make it last longer (Even though it doesn't require active maintenance )

Looking towards getting a new air suspension kit from Pacbrake? Good choice! Although it seems to be a big purchase, you must be wondering how to make sure it’s worth your while. Well, once you install it, It’s good to go with a lifetime warranty, with little to no maintenance needed within its lifespan. Yet, if you’re a little more fearful of the possibilities, we’ve made up a list of a lot of steps you can take to make sure you’re in the clear and how you can continue to make sure nothing will happen to your airbags whenever you’re driving!

Regular Inspections:

  • Visually inspect the bags for any signs of wear and tear, such as abrasions, or punctures.
  • Check for any leaks in the air lines or fittings. Inflate the airbag to maximum pressure, spray soapy water onto the airbag and tube connections and look for bubbles forming from the liquid
  • Monitor the ride height for any inconsistencies (i.e suspension is stiff/uncomfortable, bottoming out of rough terrain, lopsided vehicle)

Maintain Proper Air Pressure:

  • Ensure the air pressure in the bags is within the manufacturer's recommended range.
  • Over-inflation can cause premature wear and tear

DON’T Exceed your vehicle’s towing capacity:

  • Exceeding the vehicle's weight capacity can put undue stress on the air suspension system and the frame of your truck.

Use High-Quality Air Lines:

  • Use high-quality airlines that are resistant to abrasion, heat, and cold.
  • Replace any damaged or worn-out airlines promptly.
  • Stainless steel air lines are a great choice, especially if you are off roading due to flying debris.

Keep the System Clean:

  • Keep the air suspension system clean and free of debris.
  • Regularly clean the area around the airbags to prevent damage from dirt and grime.

Use a Quality Air Compressor:

  • Use a quality air compressor that can provide clean, dry air to the system.
  • Moisture in the air can cause corrosion and damage to the air suspension components.

Replace Worn-Out Components:

  • Replace any worn-out air suspension components, such as air bags, air lines, and compressors, as soon as they are identified.
  • Using worn-out components can lead to further damage and increase the risk of system failure.

When it comes to Pacbrake, we ensure that you take the precautionary measures to stay safe and not stress about your vehicle's limits when towing equipment. Make sure to keep your attention for more upcoming newsletters on our sites to come!
